- Check for holes and damages - if your roof uses roofing shingles, this can be easily done via visual inspection even from afar, just visually check if any shingle is missing or is damaged. If your house uses a form of G.I. roofing, then you might have to get up on your rafters to check if sunlight is streaming in because that would indicate a hole.
- Clean and repair your gutters - the gutters are there to ensure that water does not just slide over from your roof and down on your walls so check if the gutter drains have been clogged by dust or plant debris and clean them if they are in order to prevent them from overflowing during heavy rain.
